Philip Dunne MP is encouraging Church Stretton residents to have their say on the way in which local library services are provided.
Following responses from local residents, Shropshire Council are now seeking feedback on the proposed criteria that will be used to select a new provider of library services in Church Stretton, within a formal tendering process. They are seeking views on whether proposed criteria reflect the priorities local people outlined through their response to the recent consultation.
Mr Dunne said: "I hope local residents will take the chance to review the proposed criteria for the tendering process to provide library services in Church Stretton - particularly if they are one of the 500 people who responded to the original consultation.
This will help ensure the way in which a new provider is chosen reflects the priorities of library users in the town and surrounding area."
The feedback period will end on 18th September 2017. Those wishing to offer feedback can read the proposed criteria documents and submit their views at http://new.shropshire.gov.uk/get-involved/selection-criteria-for-the-appointment-of-a-new-organisation-to-manage-library-services-in-church-stretton/.
