South Shropshire MP and Health Minister Philip Dunne has congratulated ShropDoc on receiving an Outstanding rating this week from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Following inspection in February 2017, the CQC rated ShropDoc's Out-Of-Hours service as Outstanding, highlighting particular success in delivering a caring service, responsive to people's needs, and well-led services. Feedback from service users was also highlighted in the report, where ShropDoc performed above the national average.
Mr Dunne said: "I congratulate the staff and GPs for securing an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.
As a Health Minister during the past year I have visited other out-of-hours and NHS 111 services elsewhere in the country which have been looking to the model of clinician led triaging pioneered by Shropdoc as the best model on which to emulate their NHS 111 services."
